WORLD OF
Memories
Share a real family or cultural memory connected to a place, a tradition, a person or a moment in time.
A Ramadan evening. A family harvest. A childhood garden. A village custom. A meal remembered decades later.

Some memories belong to one family.
Others belong to a culture.
Both deserve to be remembered.
WHY THIS PAGE EXISTS
History remembers countries, monuments, wars and great names. But no encyclopedia will come looking for the garden behind your childhood home, the way your grandmother prepared bread, the path to the well, or the gesture your father repeated whenever a guest entered the house.
And yet, these things mattered.
A memory does not have to be important to the world to be important enough to preserve.
WHAT THE WORLD CAN FORGET
While these things are still part of everyday life, we rarely think of preserving them. Years later, the ordinary can become irreplaceable.
We are not asking you to tell us your life.

WORLD OF
Not every memory needs a chapter. Sometimes a few sentences are enough to preserve something that deserves not to disappear.
A gesture. A saying. A smell. A recipe. A way of welcoming someone.
Share a Fragment →A SIMPLE RULE
MESKI is not asking for family secrets, personal conflicts or intimate details. We are interested in something you genuinely know: a memory you experienced, a tradition you received from your family, or a small part of a place or culture you believe deserves to remain.
You may stay anonymous. Names can be omitted. A memory can be meaningful without exposing anyone.
If you wish to share, a few details are enough:
No embellishment is needed. Sincerity is enough.

FROM ONE VILLAGE TO THE WORLD
After many months of work, I am proud and deeply happy to see the name of Ksar Meski travelling beyond its walls and resonating across the world.
These pages began with my own memories. But they also taught me something: every family, every village and every culture carries small treasures that no institution will necessarily come to preserve.
If this work encourages even one person to preserve a fragment of their family, village or culture, then it will already have meant something.
Preserve what deserves to be remembered.
