عسل السدر الدوعني الملكي

The Royal Honey of Wadi Do’an

A Living Treasure from the Valleys of Hadramout

Some honeys belong to a season. Do’ani Sidr belongs to a legend.

Yemeni Do’ani Sidr Honey is harvested in Wadi Do’an, one of Hadramout’s
most dramatic and remote valleys. Here, ancient Sidr trees bloom beneath
the desert sun, surrounded by cliffs, stone villages and landscapes that
have preserved their rhythm for generations.

The honey is radiant gold to deep amber-orange, naturally liquid and
exceptionally smooth. Its flavour develops through rich caramel sweetness,
elegant fruity nuances and a long, refined finish.

Raw, pure and seasonal, it is one of Yemen’s most prestigious natural
products — a honey valued not for exaggeration, but for origin, rarity
and unmistakable character.

A symbol of prestige. A taste of Wadi Do’an.

وادي دوعن

The Origin

A Valley Carved by Time

Wadi Do’an is a place of vertical cliffs, ancient mud-brick villages and
narrow valleys where cultivated land appears almost impossibly between rock.

In this preserved environment, Sidr trees grow wild and flower during a
short seasonal window. Beekeepers move carefully with the rhythm of the bloom,
collecting honey once the nectar has reached its full maturity.

The remoteness of the valley, the limited flowering season and the continuity
of traditional beekeeping all contribute to the reputation of Do’ani Sidr.

إرث الأجداد

An Ancestral Harvest

Knowledge Passed from One Generation to the Next

Beekeeping in Hadramout is more than production. It is a body of knowledge:
understanding the bloom, moving the hives, waiting for maturity and protecting
the honey from unnecessary processing.

Each harvest depends on rainfall, temperature, flowering intensity and the
health of the valley. No two seasons are perfectly identical.

That natural variation is part of authenticity. Do’ani Sidr is not manufactured
to taste the same forever; it is harvested to remain faithful to its year and place.

Questions About Do’ani Sidr Honey

Why is Wadi Do’an so closely associated with premium Sidr honey?

The valley combines remote geography, wild Sidr trees, limited seasonal
flowering and a long beekeeping tradition. These factors have made Wadi Do’an
one of the best-known origins for Yemeni Sidr honey.

What does “Maliki” mean in Do’ani Maliki Sidr?

“Maliki” is used as a prestige term meaning royal or kingly. It describes
the product’s positioning and reputation rather than a separate botanical variety.

Why can Do’ani Sidr vary from gold to amber-orange?

Natural colour depends on rainfall, flowering conditions, local vegetation,
harvest timing and the year. Variation is expected in genuine seasonal honey.

Is Do’ani Sidr always thicker than other Sidr honeys?

Not necessarily. Texture varies naturally. This product is described as
liquid, smooth and refined, while other Do’ani harvests may appear denser.

How should a first-time buyer taste it?

Begin with a small spoonful at room temperature. Avoid mixing it immediately
into very hot food or drinks so you can first understand its natural aroma,
texture and finish.

Which size is best for gifting?

The 250 g jar is elegant for discovery or a smaller gift, while 400 g offers
a more generous presentation for regular tasting or prestigious gifting.
